For many, bread makers or bread machines are a life saver as it pretty much always guarantees that they have access to great, self-made bread. Let's be honest, 90% (or even more) of supermarket breads do not really deserve the name "Bread". I personally feel offended if offered supermarket bread for dinner. I'd rather go hungry. Whole Foods Market is one of the exceptions out there. Most Whole Food Markets offer a bakery where they offer freshly baked breads. They are pretty good.
